Good for you.
Good for the planet.
Sustainability and circular thinking go hand in hand. Technologies and
entrepreneurship help develop solutions that lead us harmoniously into the
future. Recycling and conserving resources are an integral part of this journey.
All under the motto: RE:DUCE, RE:USE, RE:CYCLE, RE:THINK. Join us on our
search for the trends and drivers that are shaping our future while
protecting the environment.
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
All our efforts in the field of sustainability are based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). We have carefully evaluated them and prioritized them based on our impact and potential for improvement. The following highlighted 10 goals as our focal areas. In these areas, we see the greatest potential to contribute to the global challenge of climate change. They serve as our guiding principles in developing new measures.
THINKING END-TO-END
We evaluate potential environmental impacts at every stage of
product development—from material and design choices, to
manufacturing, to customer satisfaction and end-of-life recycling.
CLIMATE ACTION
On behalf of future generations, we have to act right now.
We are reducing our carbon impact across our value chain and neutralizing any residual greenhouse gas emissions year-on-year, with certified carbon offsets and carbon removals. We're already carbon neutral for our corporate operations in 2022 and we've set a goal to become carbon neutral for our entire product footprint before 2030
DESIGN FOR SUSTAINABILITY
We realize that the biggest opportunities to reduce environmental impact arise early in the design process when key decisions about a product are made. Our goal is to create great product experiences that improve people's lives. For us, this means considering sustainability as part of every design decision. Truly sustainable design considers environmental and social impacts from the moment raw materials are sourced right through to the end-of-life of a product.
Since 2019, we have been working with plastic suppliers to design high quality recycled plastic.
In 2021, we launched full range products made with GRS certified recycled plastic.
In 2022, we launched full range products made with GRS certified recycled aluminium.
In 2023, we developed GRS certified recycled tin and are used in our mass production.
In 2024, we developed GRS certified recycled copper and are used in our mass production.
CARBON CLARITY
We are aware of the urgent need to take climate action. By being open and transparent about our impact, we believe we can drive better design decisions in our own teams and more informed purchasing decisions among our consumers. In 2023, we started to calculate full lifecycle carbon footprint for our products and working with our customers to providing carbon impact labels on product packaging and website, this allows consumers to make more informed choices about what they buy. It also holds us accountable and informs future design decisions. We’re working hard to reduce the product carbon footprint and customers should expect to see a lower number with the next generation of that product.
RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING
Packaging plays a critical role in all our products, keeping them safe as they move around the world from our factory floor, as well as defining the first look and feel of the sustainable product experience. We continually refine the design of our packaging to reduce the environmental impact of our designs by reducing weight, maximizing the use of renewable resources and ensuring the recyclability of our materials.
Since 2021, 100 percent FSC-certified recycled kraft paper are used in our packaging
CIRCULARITY
Our ambition is to empower consumers to extend the life of electronic devices, components, and materials. We are working to innovate and develop more circular products that are easier disassemble, repairable and replaceable in component parts, to meet the growing consumer demand for electronics, while also addressing the need to conserve natural resources.
RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION
Our governance framework for responsible manufacturing is founded on our commitment to legal compliance and ten principles. These principles cover areas such as human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption. Because our revenue comes from the products that we produce at our facility, we constantly challenge ourselves to take out waste and non-value-added steps at our production facility to minimize our environmental impact.
Our factory is certified by ISO9001, ISO14001, BSCI, GRS, RCS and FCS.
